Workshop Overview

We’d love for you to join us for an online workshop led by Peer Practice Lived Experience Lead, Milly Taylor.

Together, we’ll explore ways to build deeper connection and understanding. This session brings together peer wisdom and neuroscience, focusing on the powerful link between your nervous system and the science of the trauma brain.

Through a compassionate, trauma-aware lens, you’ll have the chance to reflect on your own experiences and those of the people you care about. This is an opportunity for us to share tools and insights that can support your self-compassion and personal growth.

What We Will Explore (Key Areas)

This workshop is for us to look closely at how life’s challenges shape the way we feel, behave, and connect. We’ll work together on strategies that help us feel safe, connected, and ready to grow:

  • The Science of Trauma
How trauma impacts our brain and bodyβ€”and what that means for us day to day.

  • The Trauma-Informed Lens
Why seeing the world through a trauma-aware perspective can make life feel safer and more supportive.

  • Building Safety
Practical ways we can create spacesβ€”inside and around usβ€”that feel physically and emotionally safe.

  • Practical Self-Compassion
How we can show kindness to ourselves and build meaningful connections with others.

  • Post-Traumatic Growth
Exploring how safe, supportive environments help us heal and thrive together.
